By using sheltonsystems.com or purchasing from Shelton Systems you agree to these Terms.
Refund Policy
Software development: non-refundable once work commences. If a project is canceled before work begins, the full deposit is refunded. Milestone-based projects are billed and earned at each milestone.
Hosting and managed services: prepaid periods are non-refundable. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
Hardware: 14-day return window in original condition with original packaging. Return shipping is the customers responsibility unless the item arrived defective.
Cancellation
Hosting can be canceled at any time via written notice; service continues to the end of the current paid period. Project work can be canceled with written notice; the customer is responsible for time and materials accrued through the cancellation date.
Delivery and Fulfillment
Digital deliverables (code, designs, deployments) are delivered via the agreed-upon channel (Git repository, email, customer portal) within the timeline of each statement of work. Hardware ships within 5 business days of payment clearing, unless backordered, in which case the customer is notified.
Payment Terms
Payments accepted: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, ACH bank transfer, and physical check. All card and ACH payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card number on our systems. Invoices are due on receipt unless otherwise specified.
Limitation of Liability
Shelton Systems liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the specific service that gave rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.
Intellectual Property
Custom-developed code is delivered to the customer with a perpetual license for the agreed scope; underlying frameworks, libraries, and pre-existing tooling remain under their original licenses (typically MIT, Apache 2.0, or GPL).
Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Disputes will be resolved in Potter County, Texas.
