By using sheltonsystems.com (the “Site”) and purchasing services or products from Shelton Systems (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Services and Products

Shelton Systems provides technology services including custom software development, mobile app development, website development, cloud architecture, managed hosting, game server services, tech support, and hardware sales. All services are described on our homepage and scoped in writing before work begins.

All prices are quoted in United States Dollars (USD). Final pricing is confirmed in your project proposal or invoice prior to any charge.

Payment Terms

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Your payment information is handled by Stripe in accordance with PCI DSS Level 1 standards and is never stored on our servers.

Refund Policy

Our refund policy varies by service type:

  • Software Development and Custom Projects: Software development services are non-refundable once work has commenced. If a project is cancelled before work begins, any deposit paid will be refunded in full within 14 business days.
  • Website Hosting: Hosting cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Prepaid hosting periods are non-refundable. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods.
  • Hardware Sales: See Return Policy below.
  • Tech Support Services: Hourly tech support services are non-refundable once the support session has been provided.
  • Game Server Hosting: Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Prepaid periods are non-refundable.

To request a refund, contact us at info@sheltonsystems.com. Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 14 business days.

Return Policy

Hardware returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery, provided the item is in its original condition and packaging. To initiate a return:

  1. Email info@sheltonsystems.com with your order details and reason for return.
  2. We will provide return shipping instructions within 2 business days.
  3. Ship the item back in its original packaging.
  4. Once received and inspected, your refund will be processed within 14 business days to your original payment method.

Custom-configured hardware that has been built to your specifications may not be eligible for return. This will be disclosed at the time of purchase. Defective hardware is covered under manufacturer warranty.

Cancellation Policy

  • Project Cancellations: You may cancel a project at any time by providing written notice to info@sheltonsystems.com. Work completed up to the date of cancellation will be billed according to the project agreement. No refund is issued for completed work.
  • Hosting and Recurring Services: You may cancel hosting or any recurring service at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial-period refunds are issued.

Delivery and Fulfillment

  • Digital Services (Software, Websites, Cloud Setup): Deliverables are provided electronically via secure file transfer, deployment to your hosting environment, or submission to app stores as applicable. Delivery timelines are established in your project proposal.
  • Hardware: Hardware is shipped via insured carrier to addresses within the United States. Estimated delivery times are provided at the time of purchase, typically 5-10 business days. Shipping costs are included in the quoted price unless otherwise stated.
  • Tech Support: Remote support is delivered via screen-sharing or remote access tools. On-site support is available in the Amarillo, TX area by appointment.

Limitation of Liability

Shelton Systems liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service or product in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or products.

Intellectual Property

Upon full payment, you receive ownership of custom software, websites, and other deliverables created specifically for your project, unless otherwise stated in your project agreement. We retain the right to use general techniques and knowledge gained during the project.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be settled under the laws of the State of Texas, with jurisdiction in Amarillo, TX.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
